Bare Eyed Cockatoo
Also called the Little Corella or Short Billed Corella the Bare Eyed Cockatoos are found in large flock in northern and central Australia. They are about 15 inches long and are mostly white with pink between the eyes and the beak. There is yellow on the undersides of the wings and tail. The name Bare Eyed Cockatoo comes from the bald, blue patch around the eyes. Although it isn't a fool proof method of sexing usually the mature males have dark brown irises and the females a light brow to red irises. They can learn to talk, but as with all cockatoos they aren't as good as some other parrot species.
